Instructions: The object of SET is to identify “sets” of three cards. Each card is unique in its four features: color, symbol, shading, and number or objects. A “set” consists of three cards on which each feature is either the same on all of the cards, or different on all of the cards. 12 cards are placed face up on the table and all players search at the same time to find a “set”. Once a player sees one, they say “set” and then have a few seconds to pull it aside for consideration. If it is indeed a “set”, the cards are removed and replaced with new ones. The player who spotted the “set” keeps the cards to be counted later. If a set can’t be found in the cards available, 3 more cards are added to the 12. The cards are not replaced after the next set. They are replaced once they are below 12. When the deck runs out and no more sets can be found, play is over and everyone counts their found “sets”. Each “set” is worth 1 point. If a player calls a “set” at some point and is wrong, then a point is deducted from them. The player with the most points at the end of the game is the WINNER! Description: SET is a highly addictive, original game of visual perception; a fascinating challenge for either solitaire or competitive play. To create a SET, a player must locate three cards in which each of the four features is either all the same on each card or all different on each card, when looked at individually. The four features are, symbol (oval, squiggle or diamond), color (red, purple or green), number (one, two or three) or shading (solid, striped or open). Age is no advantage in this fast paced family game. SET is great fun for the whole family because there is no previous knowledge required. Additional Information: Set is available as a box set and in a family fun four pack. Click Here to view these products! |
